# Copilot Studio and Cowork add natural-language app building

> Microsoft adds conversational full-stack app building in Copilot Cowork and Copilot Studio, with Entra, connectors, and admin-center governance.

Microsoft is folding natural-language, full-stack app building into Copilot Cowork and Copilot Studio, putting agentic app creation on the same enterprise platform as agents and workflows.

In Copilot Cowork, the new `/app` skill is available now through the Microsoft Frontier program. In Copilot Studio, makers build apps alongside agents and workflows; native app building is in public preview.

Either path starts with a conversation. Choose *App (Preview)* on the Copilot Studio home screen or invoke `/app` in Cowork, then describe the business outcome, users, data, and actions you need. Copilot uses agentic coding to turn that intent into a working scaffold. You can keep iterating in natural language, inspect a preview, and review the underlying code. Information workers can stay on the solution; advanced makers and developers can drop into structure and code when they need more control.

The resulting apps are full-stack and built with open standards. They use connectors to work with business data, including Work IQ for organizational context, and can take action and write results back inside the Microsoft 365 tenant boundary. Microsoft’s examples include an onboarding app that shows progress from a business data source, surfaces learning resources, and updates onboarding records, and a field service app that retrieves product technical context from a third-party system, presents guided steps, and writes results to connected systems.

Identity defaults to Microsoft Entra. Organizational data and connector policies are respected. Apps can use Git-backed source control, deployment stages, and version isolation so the next version does not disrupt the live experience. App building and running follow the usage-based billing model.

When published, apps appear in the Microsoft 365 admin center, which shows an inventory of published apps and operational controls for the lifecycle. Users discover and use shared, enterprise-ready applications at `managedapps.cloud.microsoft.com`.

Join the Frontier program and try `/app` in Copilot Cowork, or open Copilot Studio when the apps tile reaches your environment and describe the first outcome you want to turn into a governed app.
