# OpenClaw adds Tencent Hy4 through TokenHub and TokenPlan

> OpenClaw now lists Tencent Hy4, a vision model with a 1,024,000-token window, through TokenHub and TokenPlan.

OpenClaw now lists Tencent Hy4 in its provider catalog. On November 4, 2026, the official OpenClaw account said Hy4 from Tencent Hunyuan is supported in the harness, citing vision, a 1M-token context window, and improved coding and long-horizon agent use. The post says access is through Tencent TokenHub, TokenPlan, and OpenRouter.

This is harness support for an existing Hunyuan model, not a new Hy4 launch. Tencent's Hy4 preview research page is dated August 28, 2026, and it introduces Hy4 preview rather than a November model release.

## What the docs list

OpenClaw's Tencent provider docs separate the two ids. `tencent-tokenhub/hy4` and `tencent-tokenplan/hy4` are listed as text-and-image models with a 1,024,000-token context window and a 64,000-token max output. Both rows are marked reasoning-enabled and vision-capable. The docs call `hy4` the GA follow-up and the first Hy model that accepts image input — JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF, with text output — and they note a 960,000-token input ceiling inside that window.

`hy4-preview` remains the default. Catalog entries for `tencent-tokenhub/hy4-preview` and `tencent-tokenplan/hy4-preview` are text-only, with the same 1,024,000-token context and 64,000-token max output. Fresh onboarding selects `hy4-preview` on both endpoints. The docs describe that preview id as Hunyuan's large MoE language model for reasoning, long-context instruction following, code, and agent workflows.

OpenRouter is named only in the November 4 post. The provider page documents TokenHub and TokenPlan — ids `tencent-tokenhub` and `tencent-tokenplan` — through the `@openclaw/tencent-provider` plugin and an OpenAI-compatible API. It does not list OpenRouter.

## Turning it on

To use the documented endpoints, create a Tencent API key that includes the models you plan to call, then run `openclaw onboard --auth-choice tokenhub-api-key` or `openclaw onboard --auth-choice tokenplan-api-key`. Keys can also be passed with `--tokenhub-api-key` and `--tokenplan-api-key`, or set as `TOKENHUB_API_KEY` and `TOKENPLAN_API_KEY`. After onboarding, `openclaw models list --provider tencent-tokenhub` and the matching TokenPlan command show the catalog. Switching from the preview default to `hy4` is an explicit choice; the docs say to review its different pricing and verify model access for the selected endpoint.

If you already run OpenClaw against TokenHub or TokenPlan, open the Tencent provider docs and confirm `hy4` appears in `openclaw models list` before you point a coding or long-context session at it.
