# Vercel MCP shows live deployments inside ChatGPT

> Vercel MCP now renders live deployment status and build logs as an interactive card in ChatGPT and other MCP App clients.

Vercel MCP can now show deployments as an interactive card inside ChatGPT and other chat clients that support MCP Apps, according to Vercel’s changelog.

The card is Vercel MCP’s first MCP App, built on the MCP Apps extension. In a client that can render it, the card carries live deployment status, build logs, and source and commit details. A Visit button appears once the deployment URL is ready. Logs can be sent into the chat to debug with the model, or opened in a fullscreen view and read beneath the card. When a repository is linked to more than one project, a project list lets you switch between them.

Lookup is the `open_deployments` tool. It finds deployments by project, repository, or commit, and it supports environment filtering. The changelog does not name extra filters, limits, or which environments are included. Those details are unknown from this entry.

The card is not universal. Clients without MCP App support still receive the deployment state, preview URL, and commit, but as text rather than an interactive view. ChatGPT is a supported client only through setup: the changelog says ChatGPT connects to Vercel MCP through its Connectors setup. This note does not describe those steps.

The entry also does not say which other clients already render the card, and it does not include a hands-on review or timing data. What it establishes is narrower: one tool, one card for clients that support MCP Apps, and a text fallback everywhere else.

If you already use Vercel MCP, confirm that your client supports MCP Apps, connect ChatGPT through Connectors if that is the client you want, and ask it to open a deployment by project, repository, or commit.
