Cursor Rollouts opens an issue and starts a cloud agent on a caught regression

When Cursor Rollouts catches a regression it opens an issue, and Fix issue starts a cloud agent. It still does not merge or roll back on its own.

On October 2, Cursor said that when Rollouts catches a regression, it finds the offending pull request and opens an issue, and that one click starts a cloud agent to fix it. The same post said Rollouts usage credits were included through October 3. Current docs describe that path, and they say Rollouts still does not merge, revert, or roll back on its own.

What a caught regression produces

Rollouts monitors each pull request from review to production. It writes a rollout plan when the pull request opens, checks the change against telemetry after it deploys, and reports health in every environment. It checks a deploy when it happens, then again after 20 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, and 3 days. Each environment is tracked separately, so a change can look fine in one place and still be flagged in another.

When Rollouts detects a regression, the docs say it names the change it suspects, opens an issue, and notifies the author. Cursor's October 2 post described that moment as finding the offending pull request and opening an issue.

The same path applies when the new code path ran but the intended effect is missing, it errors, or its behavior is wrong. The docs treat that as a change that causes no regression but does not work as intended.

Fix issue starts the agent

On the issue page, Fix issue starts a cloud agent. The agent opens in a panel on that page. After a fix starts, View fix takes the place of Fix issue and reopens that agent. Close dismisses the issue with a reason.

That is the one-click start the October 2 post described. Rollouts does not merge, revert, or roll back changes on its own.

On the Rollouts page, a change sits in Attention while it has an open issue or a failed deploy. Once every issue on the change is closed, it counts as Verified. Reopening an issue moves it back to Attention.

Rollouts is available on Teams and Enterprise plans.

If an issue is already open, use Fix issue to start the cloud agent, or View fix to reopen one that has already started. Read the regressions section of the Rollouts docs before assuming the product will merge or roll anything back.
