Anthropic opened Salesforce in Claude in beta on September 15, 2026. The plugin, built with Salesforce, brings a seller's accounts, opportunities, and pipeline into Claude under existing Salesforce permissions, with 37 pre-built skills for account research, call prep, pipeline review, CRM updates, renewal prep, and QBR decks. The same-day @claudeai post added the working list: prep a call, review a deal, create a pipeline dashboard, or send a forecast without leaving the conversation.
Sellers sign in with their Salesforce credentials. Claude reads only what those permissions allow and, by default, proposes each CRM write for approval before anything is saved. Salesforce remains the system of record. The plugin bundles Salesforce and Slack connectors—so Claude can summarize account history, update opportunities, log calls, create follow-up tasks, and read or write deal-channel and account-team threads—without connecting each service separately. On first use, a setup skill maps the seller's tools and book of business into a personalized Artifact.
A scheduled morning brief covers meetings, at-risk deals, and unread threads, and can push a close date or stage back to Salesforce once approved. Call prep pulls Salesforce, Slack, and email. On an opportunity, Claude scores the deal, drafts a dated close plan, and fills qualification fields. After a meeting it turns notes or a transcript into a follow-up email, a Slack summary, and CRM updates. Pipeline views become shareable dashboards; Claude can draft the forecast narrative leadership expects.
The beta is on all paid Claude plans, Anthropic says, and the Salesforce MCP is in the marketplace. The Help Center adds remaining gates: Salesforce must approve the organization through beta sign-up, the surface is chat and Claude Cowork (web and desktop), and eligibility needs the latest Sales Cloud enterprise edition. Admins request the plugin through AgentExchange. A Claude Primary Owner or Owner then enables it under Organization settings > Plugins and configures the Salesforce (Beta) connector with the External Client App's OAuth client ID and secret. Each member signs in as themselves.
Anthropic names Gitlab, Siemens, and Legora as deployers and says 7,000 Salesforce sellers already use the plugin. Salesforce's Claudeforce page still describes Salesforce in Claude as available to pilot customers, with an open beta planned for September 2026—language that now sits next to Anthropic's beta-day post.
If you run Claude and Sales Cloud, read the Help Center setup guide next, then have a Salesforce admin request access and a Claude owner connect Salesforce once for the org.
