SpaceX Super Intelligence posted on October 12, 2026 that it has unified plans across Grok, Cursor, and X Premium, introducing The X Subscription.

The change is about the bill and the usage pool, not a new model. Grok models in Grok and in Cursor draw from one shared included-usage pool, and Grok Bot uses that same pool on seats that include it. Switching is optional. The pricing page says existing Cursor, SuperGrok, and X Premium plans continue unless you change or cancel them, while new self-serve customers choose from The X Subscription plans.

List prices

Individual list prices on the pricing page:

  • Free: $0 a month or year, included usage Limited. Free includes standard X.
  • Plus: $8 a month, or $80 a year ($7 a month), included usage Base. Plus does not include Grok Bot.
  • Premium: $30 a month, or $300 a year ($25 a month), included usage 4x.
  • Super: $100 a month, or $1,000 a year ($84 a month), included usage 15x.
  • Ultra: $200 a month, or $2,000 a year ($167 a month), included usage 50x.

Those usage labels — Limited, Base, 4x, 15x, and 50x — are how the page marks the tiers. This document does not define the unit behind the multipliers. It sends readers to the pricing site for current prices, included usage, and terms. List prices exclude sales tax, which may be added at checkout where required.

Paid individual plans include X Premium benefits when you connect your X account.

One weekly pool, third-party models aside

Grok Bot is included on Premium, Super, and Ultra only. Bot usage draws from that seat's shared weekly usage pool, not a separate additive pool. The shared included-usage pool covers Grok Bot usage and Grok models across Grok and Cursor.

Top-ups buy Additional Usage credits for use beyond what is included. Third-party models in Cursor are not part of the included usage, so they spend those credits from the first use.

Team seats

Team plans are Premium at $30 per seat, Super at $100 per seat, and Ultra at $200 per seat — the same prices as the matching individual tiers, with the same included usage per seat. Plus is not offered for teams.

A team can mix tiers. The page's example is three Premium seats and one Super seat. Team plans add centralized billing and administration, usage analytics, and that mix of seat tiers. Team members can also get X benefits from their seat when they connect an X account.

Switching stays optional

Existing Cursor, SuperGrok, and X Premium plans continue unless you change or cancel them.

When you switch, eligible monthly and annual plans are cancelled and you get a prorated refund for unused time. The refund goes back to the original payment method separately from the checkout total, so the new plan is charged at full price. Refunds can take a few days to appear, depending on the bank. The X Subscription starts immediately.

If Cursor is paid through the Apple App Store, switching does not cancel that subscription, and the docs say it cannot be refunded from this side. Cancel it in iPhone or iPad Settings so Apple stops billing, and request any refund from Apple. Google Play is described on a separate page, not in this pricing document.

If you need Grok Bot, start the comparison at Premium: Plus does not include it. If you use third-party models inside Cursor, budget Additional Usage credits from the first request rather than treating them as included. Before you move an existing Cursor, SuperGrok, or X Premium plan, read the pricing page on what continues and what a switch refunds — and if Cursor is on the App Store, cancel that subscription in Apple settings yourself.
